Enrollment Advisor

Financial Aid Counselor/Financial Counselor
You have a number of options for funding your education. If you apply for federal financial aid, a financial aid counselor will work with you to explain the process and complete the paperwork. Counselors in the bursar’s office can help you with payment plans, employer tuition assistance, and other options.

Online Concierge/Customer Service
In 2006, Walden’s concierge service was recognized for best practices in online student services by The Center for Transforming Student Services. Unique to Walden University, online advisors ease your transition to the classroom with great customer service. They provide technical support and ensure that you have a trouble-free and rewarding learning experience. Through a user-friendly software orientation, they will familiarize you with Walden University’s learning environment. Once you begin your graduate degree courses, they will serve as your personal guides, helping you navigate the online classroom.

Academic Advisor
As a new online student, you’ll work with an academic advisor who specializes in your area to plan a program of study that matches your personal and professional interests. Your academic advisor will then monitor your progress through your graduate degree program, assist you with university policies and procedures, and serve as your liaison with faculty members and staff in other Walden University offices.

Faculty Members
Your professors will work with you to make course projects relevant to your daily responsibilities and your career goals. They will respond quickly to your questions and provide timely feedback on assignments. If you are having difficulty, faculty members will work closely with you to ensure your success in the online degree program. In Ph.D. programs, you will be paired with a faculty mentor based on your academic, research, and professional interests. This mentor will provide you with the personal support and expert advice to ensure your success from your first research project through the completion of your dissertation.

Through a partnership with Indiana University Bloomington’s library system, dedicated Walden University librarians are available to assist you with your research. They will help you develop search strategies, identify and evaluate resources, and receive books and journal articles.

Leading Research Library
The Walden University Library, offered in collaboration with Indiana University, helps students identify, obtain, and evaluate scholarly literature. Library staff offer reference services, online databases, and document delivery as well as personal assistance in locating resources and research materials.
